RCMP Report Part 2: Series of break-ins, vehicle thefts
The Battlefords RCMP are investigating a series of break and enters and vehicle collisions that occurred early Monday morning.
At least two suspects were involved during these incidents from in and around North Battleford, which involved two separate stolen trucks, a white Dodge crew cab and a dark coloured dually truck. The suspects used the stolen vehicles to ram their way into a residential garage in the rural area near the city, a second garage on the 1200 block of 96th Street and caused damage to a business on Canola Avenue. These vehicles are suspected of also being involved in causing damage to at least four parked vehicles on the 1400 block of 104th Street, by intentionally ramming into them.
Sgt. Neil Tremblay told battlefordsNOW they believe it was the same two or three people involved in all of these incidents, from which a lot of property was taken. At this time, they’re hoping to find any footage related to the investigation.
“We recovered the two vehicles and some of the property,” Tremblay said. “We’re just hoping if anyone saw anything in the early morning hours of the 10th (Jan. 10) it will jog their memory, because the damage was quite significant.”
