RCMP Report Pt. 1: Assault suspect arrested for knife incident
A 35 year-old man in Battleford was arrested on Jan. 9, following an assault involving a knife.
The detachment received a call that morning from a residence on the 300 block of 32nd St. in Battleford, reporting a male suffering from several stab wounds. Police located the 42 year old victim with injuries to his legs and torso and immediately arrested the suspect on scene. The victim was subsequently transported to hospital for treatment, from which he has since been released.
Sgt. Neil Tremblay told battlefordsNOW the incident began as a family argument.
“The injuries were serious, but [the victim] will recover,” he said.
