Battlefords COVID-19 clinics add availability ahead of 2022

Battlefords residents who missed vaccination availability on Monday have several opportunities left before the end of 2021.

The Finning Cat Drive Thru clinic off of Highway 16 has supplies of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on Dec. 21 and Dec. 28 between 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., as well as 12:00-7:00 p.m. on Dec. 30 for Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson. First come, first served rules still apply.

Additional availability is also scheduled for the clinic in the North Battleford Library. This includes Dec. 22 from 10:30 a.m. – 5:45 p.m., Dec. 23 from 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Dec. 27 from 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Dec. 29 from 10:30 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.

On Dec. 22, the Pfizer vaccine will be there for eligible children, the first 40 of which will receive gift bags.

As of Dec. 20, there are 82,267 positive cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, along with 80,760 recoveries and 942 deaths, for a case fatality rate of 1.2. There have been three deaths in the 19 and under age group and 39 in the 20 to 39 category. There are currently 102 hospitalizations and 565 active cases, including 20 in the North West.

Of the latest 59 cases in the province, 31 were fully vaccinated, 27 were unvaccinated and one was partially vaccinated. There have been 1,776,373 total vaccine doses.
