Maidstone RCMP investigating suspicious person report

Maidstone RCMP are asking the public for assistance as they investigate a report involving a suspicious male.
On Nov. 26, two youths walking in a residential area in Maidstone were asked by an adult male parked in a red SUV if they wanted some chocolate. The man was not known to them and the two declined continued walking, with no further interaction taking place.
This was reported to RCMP later that afternoon. Community patrols and neighbourhood inquiries were conducted by police officers and the man was not located.
The vehicle is described as a red SUV pulling a small utility trailer full of appliances. The lone “older” male driver was reportedly wearing a plain, light blue or grey hooded sweater and sitting in the driver’s seat eating a chocolate bar.
