Highway 4 briefly closed, slowing Battlefords traffic

Update: the road is now open.

Motorists in the Battlefords will have to take a detour when crossing the North Saskatchewan River.

Highway 4, from Territorial Drive/South Railway Avenue to the Highway 16 bypass, is closed to traffic due to SaskPower stringing wire over the highway. Since there is no traffic, drivers must follow detour signs to use Highway 16 instead.

The project is expect to finish by noon. Motorists are asked to keep exercising caution amidst winter conditions.
