There was a special video tribute given in honour of Battlefords local and former NHL player, Colby Cave Thursday, in the NHL.

Taking place ahead of puck drop between the Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers at Boston’s TD Garden, the tribute came as a special celebration of Cave’s life and lasting impact as a member of both organizations with which he split his time in the National Hockey League.

Cave, who tragically died in April of 2020 due to a brain bleed at the age of 25, has seen his impact live on in both the National and American Hockey Leagues, and across the hockey community since he passed.
