Stars fall 5-3 to Terriers on home ice
The Battlefords North Stars fell 5-3 to the Yorkton Terriers, Friday night in North Battleford.
Emmett Wurst, Matthew Henry and K.T. Walters scored for the Stars in the loss, while Ulrik Roussel saved 23 of 27 Yorkton shots, prior to leaving the game midway through the second with an injury while trying to dive back across the goal to make a save.
Michael Harroch then stopped an additional 26 of 27 Terriers’ shots – including many of the highlight-reel variety – in just over 30 minutes of play after stepping in, in relief.
Yorkton’s Kishaun Gervais (2G, 1A) and Logan Cyca (1G, 2A) led the way for their team with three points apiece in the win, while Maddux Nollski and Karsten Kruska also scored for the Terriers and goalie Kael DePape stopped 31 of 34 Stars’ shots for the win.
