Stars fall 5-1 to Broncos in NB

The Battlefords North Stars fell 5-1 to the rival, Humboldt Broncos Friday, in North Battleford.

Dace Prymak scored the lone goal for the Stars with his sixth of the season, while Michael Harroch stopped 31 of 36 shots against, keeping the team in the contest for much of the night.

Humboldt’s Matthew Perkins led the way for the Broncos scoring a goal in each period for the hattrick, while defenceman Quinn Myles added his first career tally.

Alec Saretzky also scored for Humboldt to cap the night with his 12th of the year, and goaltender, Race Ramsay saved 24 of 25 Battlefords’ shots.

With the loss, the North Stars are now 8-5-2 on the season.

The Broncos improve to 11-4 with the win.

The Stars will now look to turn things around as the team returns to action Saturday in Melfort.
