Murder charge stayed for co-accused in Jonson homicide investigation
The co-accused in the Mark Douglas Jonson homicide investigation had his murder charge stayed, the court advised.
David Keller, 49, of North Battleford, was facing a first-degree murder charge in Jonson’s death two years ago.
He was originally scheduled for a three-week trial beginning on Monday.
Queen’s Bench Court in Battleford confirmed Keller’s charge ended up being stayed on April 29, 2021. A stay puts a stop to the case, but the court does have a year to bring the charges back.
