Those looking to get vaccinated for COVID-19 or the flu will have a variety of options available in the Battlefords this month.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has announced times for COVID-19 vaccinations from October 12–30 at the Finning Cat Drive Thru, just off Highway 16 West in Battleford. Residents can attend between 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Saturdays, as well as from 2:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m. on Thursdays. October 16 and 19 will have extended hours to 6:00 p.m.

There’s also a COVID-19 clinic that will be set up at the North Battleford Library from 10:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. October 13, 20 and 27.

SHA also released times for flu shots, which will be administered at the Finning Cat Drive Thru only. Times are the same as for COVID-19 vaccinations, aside from starting at noon on Thursdays.

In order to book times, recipients can call 1-833-SASKVAX (1-833-727-5829) or book online.

As of October 5, there has been 69,331 total positive cases of COVID-19 in the province, along with 340 inpatient/ICU hospitalizations, 64,220 recoveries and 726 deaths. This equates to a fatality rate of 1.1 per cent.
