UPDATE: Meadow Lake RCMP searching for woman after complaint of abduction

UPDATE: meadowlakeNOW has been notified at 6:05 p.m. that the female victim has been located in Grande Prairie, Alta. with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Black Kia has also been located in Grande Prairie.

The two female suspects, as well as the white, two-door 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier with Saskatchewan license plate 625LSY, have not been located. Police continue to urge anyone that sees the car or suspects to call 9-1-1. This story is being updated.

Meadow Lake RCMP, with help from other Saskatchewan RCMP units, is actively trying to locate a woman who they believe was abducted.

At approximately 3 a.m., police were called to a report of an abduction. A woman told officers she had been abducted at gunpoint from the Centre St. area in Meadow Lake at approximately 1:15 a.m. Two vehicles and two suspects were involved in the incident. The woman was later dropped off in a rural area near Barthel, SK, and called police. She said she was robbed but not injured.

The victim also reported to police that there was a second female victim who was already with the suspects when she was abducted and was still with the suspects when she was dropped off in the rural area.

That second victim is described as being of small stature. No other description is available at this time.

The first suspect vehicle is described as a black, 2010 two-door Kia Forte with Saskatchewan license plate 808 MHS.

The second suspect vehicle is a white, two-door 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier with Saskatchewan license plate 625 LSY.

The suspects are both females. The first is described as approximately 5’5”, small to average build, with blond hair and an eyebrow ring. The second is described as approximately 5’5”, small to average build with brown hair and an eyebrow ring.

They may be headed to Loon Lake, Saskatoon, or Regina, but this has not been confirmed.
