RCMP investigating homicide at Moosomin First Nation

Police reported Wednesday that RCMP Major Crime Unit North (MCU North) are investigating a homicide at Moosomin First Nation.

Shortly after 4 a.m. on Sept. 5, North Battleford RCMP received a report of an altercation at a home at Moosomin First Nation. When police officers and EMS responded, they located an injured male outside the residence.

Police report Catlin Frenchman, 30, from Moosomin First Nation, was pronounced deceased at the scene, and his family has been notified. His death has been determined to be a homicide.

RCMP Major Crime Unit North continues to investigate with the assistance of North Battleford RCMP, Saskatchewan RCMP General Investigation Section, RCMP Police Dog Services, RCMP Forensic Identification Services and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
