One of accused in Damian Moosomin homicide investigation has case adjourned

One of the individuals facing charges related to the death of Damian Moosomin last year had his case adjourned in North Battleford provincial court Monday.

Tye Partridge, who has been charged with first degree murder, is scheduled to return to court Sept. 17 at 11 a.m. to be spoken to.

Several other individuals are also facing charges.

Denver Roy, who has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder and improperly interfering with human remains, is due back in court Sept. 23 at 11 a.m. to be spoken to.

Melissa Semaganis, who has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder, is due back in court Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. to be spoken to. Semaganis was previously released following a bail hearing at Queen’s Bench Court June 14.

Jannay Blackbird, who is facing a charge of first-degree murder, will return to court Jan. 11, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. to be spoken to.

Stormy Wapass-Semaganis is facing a charge of first-degree murder and is scheduled to be back in court Sept. 24, 2021, at 10 a.m. She previously applied for bail at a hearing at Queen’s Bench Court, but the court indicated there was a publication ban on the June 17, 2021 decision.

Also among the accused individuals is a male who was under the age of 18 at the time of the alleged offence. He is charged with accessory after the fact, and cannot be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police previously reported that Damian Moosomin, 20, was found deceased in the backyard of a property in the 1500 block of 105 Street in North Battleford on May 16, 2020. He was originally reported missing to police May 11 of that year.

The allegations against the accused individuals have not been proven in court.
