Rural RCMP detachments in the northwest region of Saskatchewan are asking the public for assistance in tackling rural thefts that have become a prevailing issue this summer.

Maidstone RCMP are looking for help from the public as they search for another stolen quad, which was taken sometime between noon and 3:50 p.m. on Aug. 20 from a yard in the town of Marshall. It’s described as a red 2013 Polaris Sportsman 500 from a yard in the town of Marshall.

Maidstone RCMP have dealt with dozens of thefts of off-road vehicles since the spring.

In the Town of St. Walburg, the RCMP are warning residents of an increase in criminal activity that occurred overnight on Monday. Multiple businesses were broken into and several attempted thefts of motor vehicles occurred. One of those thefts was of a red 2008 Honda Rubicon ATV.

Police are asking anyone who’s seen or heard of any suspicious activity to please call the detachment and to make sure buildings and items are secured and kept inaccessible.

Anyone with information related to either of these advisories are encouraged to call their local detachment, 310-RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
