Driver from three-vehicle collision near Maymont charged

Warman RCMP have charged one of the drivers involved in a three-vehicle collision that occurred east of Maymont in July with multiple criminal offences, including driving impaired.

The incident, which occurred on July 26, started with a vehicle weaving in and out of traffic through a construction zone, driving in the wrong direction at a high rate of speed. This resulted in a collision with two other vehicles, severely damaging one of them.

As a result of investigation, 21 year-old Rory Favel of North Battleford is charged with:

  • Operating a conveyance while impaired
  • Operating a conveyance having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding eighty milligrams of alcohol
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Prohibited driving
  • Breach of probation

Conveyance refers to transporting or carrying someone or something from one place to another.

Favel will appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on September 1. No one involved with the incident received life threatening injuries.
