Twin Rivers Curling Club to bring back golf scramble this summer

Jul 27, 2021 | 5:00 PM

North Battleford’s Twin Rivers Curling Club is bringing back their Golf Scramble this summer on Saturday, August 21, at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club.

Featuring a shotgun start, participants can register solo or as a group of up to four people.

General manager of the Curling Club, Kathy McNinch said they’re excited to bring the event back after a few years away, giving curlers – and community members in general – a chance to show their support for the club while reconnecting in a relaxed atmosphere out on the links.

“The curlers had a short season last year, with very little curling in the fall, so it’ll be good for everybody to get back together and be able to visit and bring in new friends,” McNinch said. “Everyone is welcome and it’s just a great chance for everyone to reconnect, enjoy some golf and support the curling club.”

Registration for the Golf Scramble will be $125 which will cover the cost of golf, cart, and supper to conclude the evening. There will also be various prize draws participants will be able to enter that will be given away, with an additional chance to win $10,000 with a hole-in-one.

Registration the day of the event will be at 1 p.m., with shotgun start to follow at 2 p.m.

To register today, or for more information on the golf scramble, visit the Twin Rivers Curling Club website, find them on Facebook, or the contact the club directly at manager@battlefordscurling.com or (306) 937-2431.
