Vehicle stolen in Meadow Lake used in multiple crimes

Jul 26, 2021 | 11:02 AM

Meadow Lake RCMP are advising residents in Northwest Saskatchewan to be on the lookout for a stolen vehicle used in multiple crimes.

The vehicle, a silver 2005 Pontiac Pursuit, was stolen from the Meadow Lake area in the first week of July. Since then, it has been involved in several rural property offences in the Northwest and had fled police when a traffic stop was attempted.

The vehicle had a Saskatchewan licence plate of 971-LWG on it when it was stolen. There have been six new reports to RCMP involving this vehicle, mostly around the Onion Lake Cree Nation and Maidstone areas.

Sgt. Ryan How said the suspects are unknown and thus, residents need to call immediately.

“Do not approach or interact with the occupants of this vehicle and contact the nearest RCMP Detachment or call 911 if [you] see it,” How said to meadowlakeNOW in an email.

Anyone with information related to this vehicle and the incidents it was involved in can call their local detachment, 310-RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
