‘No better time for a coffee’: Tim Hortons celebrates Camp Day

Jul 21, 2021 | 11:40 AM

Tim Hortons locations across Canada are celebrating Camp Day Wednesday.

All proceeds from coffees and iced coffees purchased throughout the day will go straight towards giving disadvantaged youth the opportunity to attend summer camp.

Glenn Isaac is the owner of a Tim Hortons location in both North Battleford and Meadow Lake. He said Camp Day is always a special one they have marked on the calendar.

“It’s a very important day, as it helps support kids in the community to help them get on the right track or stay on the right track,” he said. “It’s always something that we’re happy to be a part of.”

Isaac said they have already been busy throughout much of the morning, with a steady stream coming through the drive-thru.

“Everybody’s working hard and just trying to have fun and raise lots of money and support the community with this initiative… so there’s really no better time to grab a coffee.”

The largest fundraiser for the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, over the past four decades, the initiative has helped more than 295,000 youth attend summer camp, who may not otherwise have the opportunity.
