North Battleford man wanted on multiple warrants arrested

Onion Lake RCMP have charged a 43 year-old male with multiple criminal offences, who was wanted on multiple outstanding arrest warrants from Alberta.

Police received the call regarding a firearm at a security checkpoint at an event on Onion Lake Cree nation on July 17. Security personnel found a bag with a semi-automatic weapon and ammunition. Following a brief investigation, Robin Wuttunee of North Battleford was arrested.

As part of the multiple outstanding warrants from Alberta, Wuttunee was prohibited from possessing a firearm. He faces multiple weapons charges, including:

  • Three counts of failure to comply with a release order
  • One count of carrying a concealed weapon
  • Two counts of possession of a firearm/ammunition in a motor vehicle
  • One count of unsafe storage of a firearm
  • One count of unauthorized possession of a restricted/prohibited weapon with ammunition
  • One count of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • One count of unauthorized possession of a prohibited device
  • Five counts of possession firearm contrary to prohibition order
