COVID-19 vaccine drive-thru times added

The Saskatchewan Health Authority has announced additional COVID-19 vaccination clinic availability over the next week ahead of the provincial planned reopening on July 11.

The drive-thru clinic in the Battlefords, located at the Finning Cat building off of Highway 16, will be open July 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11. Hours for each of those days will from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Availability remains first come, first served basis.

As of July 5, there were 1,225,186 total vaccines administered in Saskatchewan, with 71 per cent of 12 and older having received their first dose. There have been 48,978 total positive cases of COVID-19 in the province, as well 48,050 recoveries and 568 deaths, for a fatality rate of 1.2 per cent. There are currently 360 active cases, including 47 in the North West, and 65 hospitalizations.
