Man arrested following armed robbery in Poundmaker Cree Nation

An adult male is in custody, following multiple incidents of armed robbery Tuesday evening.

Battlefords RCMP received two complaints of incidents at two businesses in Poundmaker Cree Nation, where the lone suspect then stole a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500.

An alert was made, which has since been cancelled, with the suspect being considered armed and dangerous. Wednesday morning, police had located the stolen vehicle and arrested the suspect.

Additional details will be forthcoming later today, as the investigation is ongoing.
