Jun 25, 2021 | 12:42 PM

One of the accused individuals facing a charge related to the death of Damian Moosomin last year had her case adjourned in North Battleford provincial court Friday.

Melissa Semaganis, charged with accessory after the fact of murder, appeared in court by phone.

Defence lawyer Barb Degenstien told the court she just received a disclosure package and would need time to review it with her client.

Semaganis is due back in North Battleford court July 23 at 10 a.m.

Semaganis was previously released following a bail hearing at Queen’s Bench Court on June 14.

Several other individuals are also facing charges.

Tye Partridge and Jannay Blackbird, both facing a charge of first-degree murder, are scheduled to return to North Battleford court July 6 to be spoken to.

Stormy Wapass-Semaganis, facing a charge of first-degree murder, will return to court on Sept. 24 at 10 a.m. She applied for bail at a hearing at Queen’s Bench Court, but the court indicated there was a publication ban on the June 17 decision.

Denver Roy, charged with accessory after the fact to murder and improperly interfere with human remains, is scheduled to return to North Battleford court on Aug. 9 at 11 a.m.

Also among the accused individuals is a male who was under the age of 18 at the time of the alleged offence. He is charged with accessory after the fact, and cannot be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Damian Moosomin, 20, was found deceased in the backyard of a property in the 1500 block of 105 Street in North Battleford on May 16, 2020. He was originally reported missing to police on May 11 of that year.

The allegations against the accused individuals have not been proven in court.
