Despite an overall decrease in crime in the area this year, Maidstone RCMP has seen an increase in thefts of ATV’s and trucks in the last couple of weeks. On Tuesday, the theft of a grey 2008 Ford F-350 was reported from the RM of Wilton. That community also had two ATV thefts, one a red Honda 350, the other a yellow Honda Foreman.

Police are asking the public to remember to secure their vehicles by making sure the doors are locked, valuables are out of sight, and the keys aren’t left inside or nearby. Any information regarding these thefts in recent weeks can be shared by contacting the Maidstone RCMP Detachment, 310-RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
