Assessment Roll open in North Battleford

May 19, 2021 | 5:00 PM

Property owners in North Battleford can expect an assessment coming soon.

The City announced Wednesday the 2021 assessment roll is prepared and open for inspection for the next 60 days, up to and including July 18. During this period, any person who wishes to appeal against his or her assessment must file a notice of appeal with the City.

An external assessor conducts revaluations based on a four-year cycle, with 2017 as the last revaluation. Assessments in Saskatchewan are retrospective, therefore, for 2021 to 2024, property values are reflective of the market conditions as of January 1, 2019.

Residents wishing for more information will have the following four options:

1. An open house on June 8-9, virtual or in person and by appointment only.

2. Review property assessments on the SAMA’s website.

3. Discuss a new assessment by contacting SAMA directly.

4. Requesting property assessments at City Hall.

The City is encouraging residents to book an appointment, which would be between 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. More information is available online.
