Additional charges in relation to Moosomin death

Two additional individuals have been charged in relation to the death of 20-year-old Damian Moosomin of North Battleford.

Denver Roy, 35, from Sweetgrass First Nation is charged with one count each of accessory after the fact and indecent interference with dead body. Additionally, a male who was under the age of 18 at the time of the offence has also been charged with accessory after the fact. He cannot be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Four individuals were initially charged in relation to Moosomin’s death, including 23 year-old Tye Partridge from Moosomin First Nation, 32 year-old Jannay Blackbird from Saulteaux First Nation, 23 year-old Stormy Wapass-Semaganis from Edmonton and 41 year-old Melissa Semaganis from Poundmaker Cree Nation. Partridge and Blackbird face charges of first and second degree murder respectively.
