Fifth individual now facing charges related to Damian Moosomin death

A fifth individual is now reported to be facing charges in addition to the four other accused in the death of Damian Moosomin last year.

RCMP Major Crime Unit South confirmed April 27 Denver Roy was arrested and is charged with accessory after the fact to murder and improperly interfering with human remains.

He attended North Battleford provincial court Monday and is scheduled to return May 6 at 11 a.m.

Four others are also facing charges.

Tye Partridge is charged with first degree murder.

Jannay Blackbird is charged with second degree murder.

Melissa Semaganis is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Partridge, Blackbird and Semaganis attended court Tuesday. Their cases were adjourned. Partridge and Blackbird are scheduled back in court May 6. Semaganis is due back in court May 3.

Stormy Wapass-Semaganis is charged with accessory after the fact to murder. She is due to appear in court on April 28.

Police previously reported, Damian Moosomin, 20, was found deceased in the backyard of a property in the 1500 block of 105 Street in North Battleford on May 16, 2020. He was originally reported missing to police May 11.

The allegations against the accused individuals have not been proven in court.
