The Rural Municipality of Frenchman Butte No. 501 will be under a fire ban until further notice.
Municipal council made the decision due to dry and windy conditions. Previously issued burning permits are no longer valid and anyone burning without a permit or with a cancelled permit will be fined.
Several other communities have introduced fire bans in the past two weeks, including the City of North Battleford, the RM of North Battleford, the RM of Meota and the RM of Medstead.
