Tim Hortons community drive delivers for local businesses

Several local business had a warm, sweet addition to their day in North Battleford on Monday.

Tim Hortons, as part of the Tim’s for Good Program, delivered free coffee and doughnuts to eight businesses in the community. The program is a collaboration between Tim Hortons and local restaurants to reach out and show support to various frontline workers and essential service workers across the country, something that’s been ongoing since the COVID-19 pandemic began last year. Regional marketing manager Jason Kopytko said it’s important to support thousands of Canadians through a company mandate, “to show our appreciation for everything they’re doing for their own communities as we go through the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.

North Battleford was the last stop on the Northern Saskatchewan tour before the group delivering coffee and doughnuts heads up to Edmonton today. Kopytko said the feedback they’ve received has been unbelievable.

“It’s amazing that something as simple as a cup of coffee and a doughnut can make people feel really good,” he said. “I kid you not, I had a couple people on the phone crying.”
