Town welcomes new finance officer

The Town of Battleford has announced it has hired a new finance officer.

Ruth Kachmarski started in her role April 1st, as revealed during council’s meeting Monday.

CAO Ash Alam said Kachmarski has 17 years experience in the finance department working with the City of North Battleford.

She has a solid background in finance, and a strong knowledge of bylaws, tax enforcement, billings and municipal departments’ functions.

She is also an expert using Vadim, the town’s computer software system.

Alam said the town was looking for someone experienced for the position, so with Kachmarski’s qualifications she met the selection requirements.

Mayor Ames Leslie welcomed Kachmarski to the team.
