City of North Battleford to replace one of its Zambonis
The City of North Battleford is purchasing a new Zamboni to replace an older machine that has been experiencing some problems.
At its recent meeting, council approved administration’s recommendation to purchase the 2021 Zamboni model 446 ice re-surfacer, with a level ice automated precision blade control attachment, from Fer-Marc Equipment Ltd., based in Regina, for $134,816, the lowest of two bids received. The city budgeted $165,000 for the purchase.
Administration managed to save $30,000 on the purchase from what was budgeted and will also be able to make some money by selling one of its surplus machines.
The last time the city purchased a new ice re-surfacer was in 2013.
