TeleMiracle 45 raises $5,630,215

Feb 28, 2021 | 7:32 PM

Even with all the challenges the pandemic has created, TeleMiracle 45 still raised all kinds of money.

The final total for Saskatchewan’s Charity was $5,630,215. Since its creation in 1977, TeleMiracle has now raised over $145 million for those in Saskatchewan needing specialized medical and mobility equipment.

“The generosity of Saskatchewan people is amazing and it showed again this year in their support of TeleMiracle,” said TeleMiracle 45 Chair Brian Angstadt in a statement. “Once again, TeleMiracle brought our province together and the impact of these donations will be felt across Saskatchewan during these times when residents need it the most.”

To fall in line with safety protocols, there wasn’t a live audience like in years past, and most appearances were made remotely. This year’s event also had its first online 50/50 raffle, which created a $726,120 jackpot.

“Our show Producers did a great job throughout the entire year of planning, working closely with the health authorities and making sure everyone involved with this year’s production followed all the COVID safety guidelines and protocols,” Angstadt said. “We did our best to follow, keep up with and exceed all the COVID safety protocols and guidelines at all times.”

All TeleMiracle proceeds stay in Saskatchewan and are granted through the Kinsmen Foundation.

Planning begins shortly for TeleMiracle 46, to take place in 2022 in Regina. Details leading up to next year’s show will be posted at www.telemiracle.com.
