Four schools affected

COVID cases in Living Sky School Division

The Living Sky School Division (LSSD) has confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 at four different schools in the local district.

Those schools include Spiritwood High School (Feb. 2), North Battleford Comprehensive High School (Feb. 5), Connaught Elementary School (Feb. 7) and Hartley Clark Elementary School (Feb. 7). There are one case confirmed at each school.

As per protocol, LSSD is working closely with Public Health staff to ensure all necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff. Any individuals who were in close contact having been notified by Public Health with directions.

Following the division’s health and safety protocols, the schools have received a deep cleaning/sanitizing and remain open at this time.

The division is also reminding students, staff and family members of practices and procedures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Guidelines and more information are available on the Government website.

As per usual, no further details are being shared at this time, in order to protect the individuals’ privacy.
