UPDATE: Highway 378 has re-opened to single lane traffic.
Battlefords RCMP are responding to an incident at a residence south of Whitkow that has closed down highway traffic.
The incident occurred approximately two kilometres north of the 378 and 678 junction, within the R.M. of North Battleford. Both lanes are closed and traffic is being directed back the way they came. There is no available detour in the area.
While Staff Sgt. Jason Teniuk said there is no danger to the public, everyone is advised to avoid the area and find another route to their destination. More information of the incident will made available at a later time, following further investigation.
