WDM offers new look exhibit for winter season
For the first time in nearly 30 years, the Western Development Museum (WDM) is hosting a temporary exhibit in their Summer Hall.
Showcasing a number of classic vehicles and other vintage artifacts, the newest display features a number of large-scale pieces, including a 1967 Honda Mini Truck, a 1982 OJ Special, and 1973 Citroen SM, and more.
Museum manager, Joyce Smith said the Summer Hall is traditionally a space used to host various community events throughout the year. However, due to current restrictions on group gatherings, the space had been left relatively unused over the last number of months, leading to the inspiration to set up the unique display.
“We decided since it was sitting empty, we might as well bring in some artifacts that haven’t been on display for quite a few years and put them out to be seen,” Smith said. “We’ve brought in some artifacts that were in storage for years, so this is a chance for people to see some new things.”
