Verdict in Cochin-area homicide trial expected in February

A decision on the Joshua Roy Tucker trial at Queen’s Bench Court in Battleford is expected to be announced later in the new year.
Joshua Tucker, 29, previously pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the death of his adopted father, Gordon Ernest Tucker, between May 30, 2018 and May 31, 2018. The 59-year-old was found deceased on his farm southeast of Cochin on May 31, 2018.
The trial wrapped up on Dec. 23, 2020.
Justice Gary Meschishnick is scheduled to announce his decision on Feb. 4, 2021 at 9 a.m.
