Positive COVID-19 case discovered at Holy Family School

A positive case of COVID-19 has been identified at Holy Family School in North Battleford.
According to a media release from Light of Christ Catholic Schools, the school was made aware of the case by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and they’re working to inform parents and caregivers. Contact tracing by the SHA is also underway.
The school division will not be discussing details to protect the privacy of the person and they hope the individual is doing well.
“This case reminds us that we all have a shared responsibility to decrease the risk of COVID-19 entering schools,” the release said. “Plans for a safe return to school contain many important measures, processes and protocols. Students and families are reminded to be diligent in performing the daily health screening, stay home if you are ill, call HealthLine 811 if you are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, practice proper hand hygiene, maintain physical distancing as much as possible, wear a mask when appropriate, and do all we can to keep each other safe.”
