Local businesses and individuals were honoured at the 27th Annual Battlefords Business Excellence Awards (BBEX) Thursday evening.

The theme of this year’s awards was BBEX Goes To The Movies, an evening recognizing the resilience, community support and the everyday heroes in business and in the community in 2020.

The winners across a number of categories are:

Non-profit: Battlefords United Way Inc.

This year’s recipient of the Stan Wychopen BBEX Scholarship (consisting of $2,000) was North West College student Courtney Roberts.
