Snow removal scheduled in North Battleford on Remembrance Day

Nov 10, 2020 | 6:00 PM

Residents in North Battleford will have to make sure their vehicles are clear of the curb, as snow removal will take place on Remembrance Day.

The City of North Battleford’s Roadways Department has been busy clearing snow from priority streets since Nov. 7, as more than 30 centimetres of snow has come down in the area. Because of the high volume of snow, which has left some roads nearly undrivable, the roadways department is now performing residential snow removal on Remembrance Day, without holiday break. This process will continue throughout the week.

Because of the change, the city is asking residents to remove their vehicles from the street during their designated on-street parking restriction times, in order to help ensure snow plow equipment can effectively remove heavy snow.

The on-street parking restriction map and snow plowing routes are available online. Any further questions regarding snow plowing can be addressed to the city.
