Arrests made following gunfire, pursuit in North Battleford
Battlefords RCMP is investigating a firearms incident that took place Saturday morning in North Battleford.
The incident occurred shortly before 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, where five or six rounds were reported to have been fired at a residence on 111 Street. As many as four separate vehicles may be involved, including a white pick-up truck, white van or SUV, and a dark coloured SUV. The investigation so far revealed two homes sustained damage from small arms fire, while no individuals were injured in the process.
Later in the day, police located one of the suspected vehicles and arrested two adult males, following a lengthy pursuit. Police also seized a firearm. Both males remain in custody, while the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
