COVID-19 case found in Living Sky School Division

A positive case of COVID-19 has been identified in the Living Sky School Division.
The case has been diagnosed in an individual in Cando Community School, located in the hamlet of Cando, 48 kilometres south of North Battleford. In a statement, Living Sky said they are working closely with Public Health staff to ensure measures are in place to protect students and staff, including a deep cleaning/sanitizing of the school and contacting anyone who may have been in close contact with the case. This is in addition to previously implemented measures, such as mask wearing and encouraging proper hygiene. At this time, Cando Community remains open.
In the statement, Living Sky also reminded anyone entering schools to self monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 and to make sure to stay home if symptoms are detected.
