North Battleford drug trafficking investigation results in two arrests
Battlefords RCMP have arrested two individuals on drug and weapons related charges, following a multi-week investigation.
The North Battleford Gang Task Force/Street Enforcement Team executed a search warrant on October 7, at a residence on the 700 block of 100 Street. The search warrant came as a result of a drug trafficking investigation beginning at the end of September.
A male suspect was located and arrested on his way to the residence, while a female was arrested at the property. The male was in possession of 22 grams of crack cocaine, a quantity of hydromorphone, a large sum of cash and two weapons. A search of the residence produced further evidence of drug trafficking activity.
The suspects, identified as 39-year-old Trevor Cummer and 26-year-old Ashlyn Paules of North Battleford, were charged with possession of cocaine and hydromorphone, with the purpose of trafficking each substance, as well as possession of proceeds of crime. Cummer was also charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon.
