Sep 15, 2020 | 4:00 PM

The Blaine Lake RCMP are searching for two men after they allegedly assaulted and robbed a 79-year-old man after he refused to drive them to Prince Albert.

According to a media release, yesterday at 5:30 p.m. the RCMP responded to a call in Blaine Lake of an elderly man who was on the ground in front of a building with injuries from the alleged assault. The victim received treatment from EMS.

The first man was described as having long hair with a heavy build and the second as being visibly younger than the first man with a slim build.

The police said the unknown males stole the man’s cellphone, keys and his grey 2007 Ford F-150 truck. The licence plate of the truck is 167 IUM.

The two men left with the truck and the police believe they may have headed North on Highway 40. The investigation is still ongoing.

The RCMP along with other police agencies have been searching for the men and the truck but have not been successful. Anyone with information can contact the Blaine Lake RCMP at 306-497-3604.
