Two individuals are facing a number of drug-related charges following a large seizure in North Battleford.

Police report the North Battleford Gang Task Force/Street Enforcement Team, along with members of the North Battleford RCMP Detachment, and North Battleford Provincial General Investigations Section, executed a search warrant at a home on the 1300 block of 96 St. on Sept. 10.

The search stemmed from an RCMP investigation started earlier in the month related to alleged drug trafficking.

During the search, police found 276 grams of cocaine, 1 kg of illicit marijuana, four grams of MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, commonly known as Ecstasy), as well as quantities of other unidentified substances also believed to be illicit drugs. They also located about $6,000 in Canadian currency as well.

The RCMP also found a prohibited handgun, 200 rounds of ammunition as well as several other weapons during the search.

Two individuals were arrested at the home and later charged.

Tyson Goller, 33, of North Battleford, and Danielle Becker, 36, of Saskatoon, are facing charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of MDMA (Ecstacy) for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. They are also charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm when knowing possession is unauthorized, and possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition.

Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in North Battleford provincial court on Oct. 26.

Anyone with information related to drug trafficking, or any other crime in the Battlefords, is asked to call the North Battleford RCMP at (306) 446-1720 or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
