Reels on Wheels tour hits North Battleford

Rainbow Toyota is all set to host the Reels on Wheels drive-in movie tour this evening.
Organized in conjunction with Fresh Air Cinema, the Western Canadian tour of outdoor movie screenings will kick off tonight at 9:30 p.m. at the Ag Society, with the gates opening at 8:30 p.m. Disney/Pixar’s ‘ONWARD’ is the film that will be shown on a four-storey screen. All of the 24 events of the tour will be ‘by donation’ with 100 per cent of proceeds going to a local charity, which will be Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Battlefords this evening.
“In a time when we’ve had to adapt to physical distancing, and when so many families and friends have been forced to spend time alone in their homes, we’re excited to once again bring the joy of drive-in movies to families across the province,” Jason Bashnick, Managing Director of Fresh Air Cinema, said.
Sheldon Lachambre of the Prairie Toyota Dealers Association said they’ve received a solid reception from other communities so far.
