VIRTUAL SCMA'S

Tune-in virtually for the 31st Annual Saskatchewan Country Music Association award show

May 16, 2020 | 8:00 AM

This year’s Annual Saskatchewan Country Music Association (SCMA) Awards will be virtual for the first time ever. Tune-in online or on your television to see who takes home the coveted ‘Mikee’ SCMA Awards.

Hosts Matt Ryan from CJNS Meadow Lake and Cody Glydon from CKRM Regina will take you through an evening full of awards and musical talent honouring the best in country, roots and gospel music in Saskatchewan.

Matt Ryan told meadowlakeNOW this could be an exciting, front row seat for everyone to sample talented musicians from all over the province.

“This year, with the SCMA’s going virtual because of what’s happening right now throughout the world, it gives people an opportunity to watch the SCMA’s who have maybe never attended the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards,” Ryan said. “This could be the biggest audience that the SCMA’s have ever seen.”

Ryan said performers will be broadcasting from their own homes. The evening promises to be an intimate one, filled with acceptance speeches and award presenters all while celebrating the success of homegrown artists.

Musical performances are by Donny Parenteau, Chris Henderson, Brody Siebert, Samara Yung, Shantaia, Tommy John Ehman, The North Sound, Amy Nelson, Jordyn Pollard, Erin Hill, Yvonne St. Germaine, Tayler Tluchak, Amanda Hagel, Aces Wyld, Jay and Jo, Stephanie Rose, Brock Andrews, and Munro and Patrick.

The awards show begins Saturday, May 16 at 8 p.m. and will air on Access7 channels across the province, exclusive to AccessTV customers. At the same time, the show will be streamed online, open to the public here. The link will be taken down once the show is over and will not be viewable. An additional viewing link can be found here.
