Local MLA says province will ‘proceed cautiously’ on phased re-open plan
With the number of new cases of COVID-19 continuing to rise in the northern parts of the province, local MLA Herb Cox said the Saskatchewan government is doing what it can to prevent the virus from spreading.
Cox said outbreaks like the one we are seeing in La Loche were possibilities provincial officials expected.
“We knew that there could be flare-ups in various areas of the province and unfortunately yes we have seen that in the northwest corner of our province,” he said.
Cox said officials are trying to be proactive with their approach when it comes to limiting the further spread of the virus.
