Splish Splash(SS) Auto, RV and Pet Wash was named ‘Best Car Wash’ in the 2020 Best of the Best (BOB) awards because of their state-of-the-art equipment, environmentally friendly products, pet wash, convenient U-Haul rentals…and, of course, the ice cream!

Co-owner Veronica Materi invites anyone with a car, truck, RV, classic car, or motorbike to rely on Splish Splash for its clean, well-lit bays that ensure the best treatment for any set of wheels or furry friend.

“Customers can take a precise-clean approach from the moment they enter by using our free Under-Carriage spray and our under-carriage wands in the bays to loosen mud or ice,” she said. “Then starting your wash with our Pre-Soak helps breaks down road grime and bugs and our hot water and high-pressure soap melt it all away.”

Splish Splash has been operating in the community nearly 10 years and draws customers from neighbouring communities and tourists passing through because of their outstanding service and equipment. They have 7 car bays, a large RV bay, outside vacuums, and business customers have 24-hour access to the RV bay so vehicles can be washed at your own convenience.

“We offer two sanitised pet wash stations so customers do not have to bathe their furry friend at home,” she said. “We supply tearless shampoo, flea shampoo, and conditioner. There are even different nozzle settings to make sure your pet is comfortable.”

Customers can blow-dry pets through a choice of two dryer settings for best furry results.

“SS has a broad range of convenient detailing products, such as window, vinyl and leather cleaning products, and multi-surface protectants to address your interior clean.  Four bays are equipped with a Scrub-N-Vac to shampoo seats and carpets, and our Rhino-Mat carpet cleaner will clean up to four mats for only $1. We even sell pet hair and lint remover rocks that make picking up dog hair much easier,” she said.

SS has four premium quality PUREAQUA water bottle refill stations for 1, 3- and 5-gallon jugs and also sells new jugs, hand pumps, cradles and taps, as well as water cooling cleaner kits. If you need ice for home or a large event, SS also sells 5 and 10lb bags of ice ready made for pick up. On site vending machines offer cool refreshments and a range of snacks.

Two Scoops Ice Cream shop which operates seasonally on site sells Foothills Creamery Hard Ice Cream and 24 Flavour Soft Serve Ice Cream. Ample parking space and a gazebo fit with water misters means you can sit and enjoy your ice cream out of the heat of the summer. Slush drinks, icebergs, twisters, sundaes, milk shakes and mini donuts round out their menu and customers can even pay with their SS Washcard.

“SS and BC Fruit also run Territorial Drive Farmers Market on site Fridays 4-9pm from mid-June to the end of Sept offering a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as live entertainment with local talented musicians,” Materi said. “This truly provides customers with a one-stop shopping experience.”

“Customers say they love our car wash because they leave with a clean car. We provide top quality soap, hot wax, and a spot free rinse to ensure a showroom shine. Our wands are flexible for those hard to reach spots and our in-bay air dryers ensure your locks and windows will not freeze in winter. Our vacuums offer powerful suction and our equipment is regularly maintained,” Materi said.

Splish Splash strives to supply customers with quality products and services to better protect their investment.

The locally owned business supports youth development by offering student work experience through the Functionally Integrated Program at North Battleford Comprehensive High School. This has proven to help community youth obtain real world experience and interaction with valued customers. SS also contributes a portion of the funds raised by recycling to help enhance their school program.

SS was a finalist in the 2019 BBEX Awards for Community Contribution.

“We at SS think it is important to give back to our community. We host charity carwash events and provide sponsorships and donations throughout the year.  This was a big part of my brother David’s vision when developing our business plan for SS, and as long-time business owners in North Battleford, our family wants to contribute where we can,” Materi said.

SS partners with charities and organizations wanting to raise funds by selling $25 Preloaded Washcards to the organization for $10.00. The charity/organization then sells each Washcard for $20.00, thus profiting $10.00 per card sold. The card purchaser benefits by receiving an extra $5.00 on their card. The charity can also host a charity wash and receive an additional 40 per cent of the revenue obtained during function hours.

SS offers up-to-date payment options including cash, debit, credit card, or reloadable pre-paid WashCards which includes an extra 10 per cent bonus. Their Pay-by-Phone app provides even greater savings with a 20 per cent bonus on each pre-selected wash.
