Tisdale’s Tim Taylor wins trip to Cuba from Saskatchewan’s Beach Radio

Over 30 of Saskatchewan’s Beach Radio’s VIP’s filled the Melfort Curling Club for the Beach to Beach party, all of them hoping to leave with one massive prize:

A week-long, all inclusive trip to Cuba.

One by one, Beach Radio VIP’s got their names called up to receive consolation prizes until there were only two remaining.

Tim Taylor, a Tisdale native, won the beach getaway. Because he was hauling grain late on Friday, he was represented by his wife Christine.

When Tim’s name was drawn, Christine felt completely shocked.

“I think I was more nervous at the start, and then as the names kept coming out, it was anybody’s game,” Christine told northeastNOW. “Everybody who’s here has that chance. When it came to the last two… when they said the name I was like ‘oh my god.’

“I had a good feeling; he is a super lucky guy. He’s won other contests. We had both put our names in for this draw and he was the one who got picked. I’m super happy for him.”

Tim and Christine will spend a week at Valentin Cayo Cruz resort in Cuba from March 5 to 12, thanks to Saskatchewan’s Beach Radio and Travel 4-U.

“It’s like two weeks away,” Christine said. “It’s quickly getting things ready and making sure everything’s packed. I will be doing [booking that week off] right away on Monday. Thank you to Beach Radio for this contest.”
