City honoured with national recognition for “innovative” asset management efforts
The City of North Battleford has been honoured with national recognition for its efforts in asset management planning work.
The city announced in a release Wednesday the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) requested city representatives share North Battleford’s asset management “innovation story” at two provincial and national conferences coming up.
The City of North Battleford was recently commended by the FCM for its work implementing asset management initiatives within city operations. The FCM acknowledged the city’s new approach to “building asset management capacity” by asking the city to serve as a national case study for this type of work for other municipalities across Saskatchewan and Canada.
The city will give its first presentation on the initiative at the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA) annual conference from Feb. 2 to 5, and discuss its work at two education sessions accessible to all urban municipalities in Saskatchewan.
