The third annual Downtown Trade Show goes this weekend in North Battleford

Look no further than downtown North Battleford for great holiday gift ideas this weekend.

The Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre third annual Downtown Trade Show is taking place this Friday, December 6 from noon until 6 p.m.

Sonya Whitecalf, an event organizer, said the event will offer a wide variety of vendors and gift ideas.

“We have four vendors who are doing homemade crafts like Christmas decorations and stocking stuffers. We also have someone who is making homemade bath bombs and some Christmas baking,” she said.

Like most events happening in December, the event is Christmas-themed but Whitecalf said that does not mean there will not be non-Christmas items for sale. It also offers a great opportunity to community members who run their own small businesses.

“It is an opportunity for local community members who have home based businesses or do their own crafts or baking. It is an opportunity for them to have people to come out and appreciate their business. It is also an opportunity for community members to shop locally and support local business owners,” she said.

All of the vendors in the trade show will also be donating an item that will go toward a door prize basket. Anyone who buys an item will be given an entry form and the prize will be drawn at the end of the day.

“The lady who won it last year, she said she gave them all away for her Christmas presents so that saved her a lot of money,” Whitecalf said.

The vendor tables for the event are free of charge and Whitecalf said they still have four spots available for the show.

Anyone interested in becoming a vendor is asked to contact Sonya Whitecalf at 306-937-6700.

The trade show will be located in the Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre’s lobby at 1201 – 102nd Street, North Battleford.
